Five movements, 90 minutes.

  1. 15 minutes01

    Get settled

Arrive, breathe, say hello. Nobody has to perform the minute they walk in.

  2. 15 minutes02

    Meet the model

Katherine introduces the concept of the day: what it is, where it comes from and why it works.

  3. 15 minutes03

    Reflect together

An open group conversation: your reactions, stories, questions and ideas about the model.

  4. 30 minutes04

    Paired coaching

Partner up: 15 minutes coaching, then 15 being coached, applying the model to real life with our co-coaching guidelines.

  5. 15 minutes05

    Debrief

Katherine brings everyone back together to share what surfaced and what each person will try next.

Corporate-grade development, without the corporation.

Large organizations spend real money helping their people communicate, adapt and lead. Those same frameworks are just as useful at the kitchen table, on the school pickup line and in the quiet moments of figuring out what success looks like now. MomsTauk offers them to the parents and caregivers in our community who want them.

  • One model per session

A single, well-tested framework, explained simply, that you can use the same day.

  • Learned together

Your stories and reflections shape how the idea lands. Everyone brings something.

  • Practiced, not just heard

Paired coaching turns the concept into a real next step in your own life.

Co-coaching guidelines

Peer coaching works when everyone plays by the same few rules. These keep the space safe, honest and useful for the person being coached.

  • No advice

Your partner is the expert on their own life. Hold back the fix and help them find theirs.

  • 4th level listening

Listen past the words to what is emerging for the person, and who they are becoming.

  • Paraphrasing

Say back what you heard in your own words, so they can hear themselves more clearly.

  • Sit in the S#!+

Don’t rush to tidy up hard feelings. Let the discomfort have some room.

  • Check your mirrors

Notice what’s yours, your assumptions and your story, before it steers the conversation.

  • Open-ended questions

Ask what, how and “tell me more”: questions that can’t be answered with yes or no.

  • Next steps

Close with one small, concrete action your partner chooses for themselves.

  • Confidentiality

What’s shared in your pair and in the room stays there. Take home your own lessons, not other people’s stories.

“The answers are already in the room. Our job is to listen so the solutions can surface.”

Our values

  1. 1

    Acceptance of uniqueness

Every family, path and pace is different, and that is the point.

  2. 2

    Respect for others

We honor each person’s story, time and boundaries.

  3. 3

    Healthy adaptation

We grow by adjusting as life changes, not by getting it perfect.

  4. 4

    Lead with curiosity

Questions before conclusions, about each other and ourselves.

  5. 5

    Do no harm

We handle each other’s words and trust with care.

Meet Katherine

Katherine founded Invisible Culture in 2000, while living in Singapore, and has spent the years since delivering cross-cultural training and global leadership coaching to employees and executives of multinational corporations, including seminars for Fortune 500 companies around the world. She holds a master’s degree in organizational psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and has lived in Australia, Singapore, China and Costa Rica.

Her work rests on a simple idea: our differences are not something to overcome, but to understand and embrace, moving from awareness of self, to awareness of others, to adaptation. MomsTauk brings that same toolkit to the parents and caregivers in her own community.
